Is your company prepared for a disaster?

Recover from a disaster

  • A disaster can occur to any business with little to no warning -- floods, wild fires, tornados and other nature as well man-made disasters.

Most of us take for granted that our computer systems and data will be available when we come to work.

If not - what is your plan to continue running your business?

A disaster can occur to any business with little to no warning. This year we have observed floods, wild fires and tornados. The last thing you want to be doing after a disaster strikes is to be pointing fingers at people wondering why a plan was never implemented or followed. When was the last time your business conducted a review of its disaster recovery plan? Is it being followed? Will it work if it’s needed? Are your backups off site and in a location that will not be impacted by the same disaster?

Worse yet, your company may not even have a disaster plan. Most of us take for granted our computer systems and data will be available when we come to work. If you showed up to work and found the conditions above, would your business survive?

Your partner in the WAC Consulting Group can assist your management team to evaluate what it is costing your business to not stay current. Call us now to get started.

#3 – Preparation . . . Practice . . . Survival . . . Your Competitive Advantage

Not-so-fun Facts:

  • On average, more than 100,000 U.S. wildfires, also called wildland fires or forest fires, clear 4 million to 5 million acres of land every year.
  • In recent years, wildfires have burned up to 9 million acres of land. A wildfire moves at speeds of up to 14 miles an hour, consuming everything—trees, brush, homes, businesses, even humans—in its path.
  • Tornadoes are vertical funnels of rapidly spinning air. Their winds may top 250 miles an hour and can clear-cut a pathway a mile wide and 50 miles long. The United States is a major hotspot with about 1,000 tornadoes every year.
  • Disasters of man-made nature, such as arson, burglaries and other crimes can also have a severe impact on your business. We can help you put together the plan that may just keep you in business in the event of a disaster.
